Meet Our Founder
Hello darlin, thank you for being here. I hope you feel at ease here because I created this blkcanvas especially for you. I express my deep appreciation because this work has become a life gift as faith has grown pushing through fear of speaking out loud about racism and its insidious weave in black life. It can be uncomfortable, unsafe, and unwanted. So, I understand any resistance you may have - you're okay here. I want to share with you that through this journey of using creativity for healing I have come to know I am a divine being worthy of being treated with dignity, care, and respect. And worthy of pleasure, joy and rest. If, you are on a journey of discovering or strengthing a same knowing then I invite you to experience creativity as a means to explore you more.
